When cutting/copying, it inserts text into the same window

When I am in the active window and execute the cut (ctrl+x) or copy (ctrl+c) command, copyq inserts this text into the same window.

If I copy, it duplicates the text. If I cut it out, it returns the text back.
In excel, it tries to insert the cut/copied cells back

What could be the problem? This has never happened before
