Aliase for elements

This is a suggestion. Would it be possible to introduce aliases?
This would make it possible to store longer text passages or formulas or the like in a file under a unique name. Nevertheless, the filing system would remain clear. Perhaps this could be included in a future version?
My idea would be to create a new element. But the whole content of the element does not appear in the list, only its name. However, I can enter (arbitrarily) long text or pictures or whatever behind it. I think this would be a great feature.
