Is there a way to extend helm lint functionality?

I find the checking that helm lint performs to be very basic.
And from my desktop to the actual deployment there's a huge gap in time and in process
I'd like to be able to cram in more checks into the lint. How can I do that? Checks are the primarily concerned with yaml soundness and helm syntax verifiction
