Cannot change screen resolution in VMware

Title says it all. The screen is fixed to (I believe) 1024x768 when I boot hello in VMware Fusion, and I have not found any means to change it. (What I want to do is resize the window that VMware displays the VM in, and have the resolution change to fit the new, probably larger window size; but the inability to do that may be more a problem with open-vm-tools than with hello.)
