Failed live boot on Mac Pro 6,1 (Late 2013)

**Describe the bug**
After the FreeBSD splash screen, i get greeted with a black screen, no mouse cursor, just a plain black screen.

**To Reproduce**
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
1. Boot from USB

**Expected behavior**
I expected the OS to boot.

- FreeBSD version (System --> About this Computer): doesnt boot
- helloSystem build (`cat /.url`): doesnt boot
- Running in a virtual machine: No
