Feature description

Hi there @hegocre :)

Thanks as always for your wonderful app that I use everyday and several times per day!

Just like SimpleX, I'd love to have a more 1-hand reachable interface, with search at the bottom notably.

You can find more info about their interface changes in their blog post here and in the screenshots hereunder:

What about a new interface like the (meh) mockup I did hereunder ?

  • Top section title is always visible (whereas it usually hidden when we click on search icon)
  • App is usable with one hand and search is more accessible
  • Bottom sections texts under the icons are always visible (more balanced UI)

Many thanks in advance for considering this potential modification :)

Why do you want this feature?

I always need 2 hands to use the app and search for passwords :(

Research direction

No files, tests, or entry points are named. Start by reviewing the existing Android interface and navigation, then compare them with the linked SimpleX examples and mockup. Done should mean a defined, implemented one-handed layout with accessible search and consistently visible bottom-section labels.
