Describe the Bug
Probably more to do with the original game as I saw a similar complaint with a Xenia emulated version of the game, but at the second spring after the chase with the 3 robots (also appear in rooftop run on the rails), Sonic goes right past it and so I can't get through the game. Seems to be a collision bug.
Steps to Reproduce
Naturally occuring bug and so just happens when I go from one spring to the other.
Expected Behavior
Goes straight past the spring

Research direction
Reproduce the issue at the second spring after the chase with the three robots in Empire City, using the attached footage and the reported v1.0.3 environment as references. Trace the spring collision behavior and verify that Sonic is launched correctly so the level can be completed.
