Description

Application is basically on usuable on Plasma Wayland on high DPI/scaled displays at 4k.

Okay, i edited in this screenshot only to find that the screenshot itself looks... fine, but i swear that's not how it looks on my end. basically what i see on my end looks like a cropped image, like so

i promise i'm not making this up, and im not sure why when i take a screenshot it shows the image as it should look instead of how it actually looks on my display. the only way i've been able to work around it is by lowering the scale of everything in plasma display configuration, which makes everything unreadable and tiny on my 4k display. i'll also note that in the screenshot for some reason it doesn't look nearly as unreadable as it actually shows on my 4k display. i'll post it anyway:

strangest thing of all but when i restored the scaling back to what i needed it to be, HMM stayed at a low scale/DPI.

the screenshots acting weird might be a quirk of spectacle, as when i captured the screen manually with spectacle instead of doing windows key+prtsc i think it captured the screen as it actually is instead of the application itself. anyway, sorry for the confusion, but yeah, HMM is having scaling problems on wayland it seems like.

Research direction

No source file or test is named. First reproduce the application on Plasma Wayland with a 4K high-DPI display and the reported scaling settings, then compare the cropped or oversized rendering and option accessibility. Done means the application remains usable and options can be selected at the user's normal display scale.
