[Bug] Direct message notifications appears empty; latest message doesn't show

I think these 2 bugs are related to the same notification (see screen recordings):

1. the direct message notification appears blank in inbox
2. when a new message is sent in the same thread, the latest message does not appear when the invisible notification is clicked (but it does appear in a new notification)

I can’t replicate the issue with any other message or notification.
