randomly asks for authorization for viewing package overview page

this is really rare and I don't know how to reproduce, but happened twice in the last weeks, the second time just now.

I was on the package search page, clicked on some package and was asked for username/password. Had no reason to enter those for viewing a page, and i got a "not authorized" response page. went back, tried again and it worked without asking me for authorization.

The specific pages were

where the second one asked me for authorization.

potentially relevant: i am no maintainer of the package i tried to view. i have entered my user/pass a few days ago to publish a new x-rev on an unrelated package.
