view gzipped terraform state files

I'm currently using Consul to store Terraform state files in a compressed form. When I view these state files through Consul's GUI, I am unable to see its content.

I would like to have the ability to view gzipped Terraform state files which are stored in Consul through its GUI by adding an additional list item in the lower right hand drop down. Currently, I only have the ability to use either JSON, HCL, or YAML formats, but I would like to use GZIP.
