Description

We have a 4-nodes consul cluster service. if cluster node became down(such as the OS systerm was shutdown unfortunately), the services registered to this node were lost. I can't get response when request some services belong to thus error node. So, i'm confused that , how the consul-cluster keep high availability when some nodes can't work at all.

Please help to confirm this case. thank you very much.

Research direction

No source file, test, or entry point is named. Start by reviewing the service-registration and node-failure behavior for Consul v1.9.0, then determine whether services on a failed node are expected to remain discoverable; document the confirmed high-availability behavior or a reproducible failure case.
