VM0049 Carbon Capture and Storage (1.0)

### Problem description
VM0049 is a globally applicable methodology framework for project activities involving carbon capture and storage (CCS). It provides a modular approach to quantifying emissions across the capture, transport, and storage phases of CCS projects, allowing flexibility based on project design and technologies used.
The methodology incorporates various modules and tools, which are being developed in batches:
Batch 1 Modules:
- VMD0056 – Quantifies removals from CO₂ capture via Direct Air Capture (DAC).
- VMD0057 – Assesses project emissions from CO₂ transport in CCS projects.
- VMD0058 – Evaluates project emissions from CO₂ storage in saline aquifers and depleted hydrocarbon reservoirs.
Batch 2 Modules and Tools:
- VMD00XX – Estimates emission reductions or removals from CO₂ capture in bioenergy combustion.
- VT00XX – Provides accounting procedures for non-VCS CO₂ in CCS projects.
- VT00XX – Differentiates between reductions and removals in CCS projects.
- VM0049 also integrates specialized tools to support specific analytical procedures, ensuring standardized and accurate emissions accounting for CCS projects.
