**Project Name**: Civic Tech Jobs
**Name of Role**: Developer Lead
**About the project**: Civic Tech Jobs will be a platform to help prospective volunteers find interdisciplinary projects that will be useful for their career development while contributing to positive civic impact.
**Volunteer Opportunity**: We are seeking a Lead Developer to help guide and steward the development of our web application, *Civic Tech Jobs*.
At minimum, we’re looking for a strong **back-end developer**. Ideally, this person also has experience in **backend data architecture and system-level thinking**, and can collaborate closely with DevOps when needed.
We are looking for volunteers with an **Intermediate level (or above)** background in full-stack development.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead weekly developer meetings (schedule flexible)
- Support ticket creation and GitHub management (agenda-setting, tracking, completion)
- Coordinate with the PM team on progress and updates
- Attend monthly CTJ Leads meetings and meetings with the Organizational Product Lead
- Review pull requests
- Review and maintain documentation
We are open to adjusting responsibilities based on your availability and strengths.
**Our Tech stack includes:**
**Frontend:**
React, JavaScript, TypeScript, SCSS, HTML, CSS, Tailwind
**Backend:**
Python, Django, SQL (Postgres), Docker, Shell
**Duration**: 12-24 months of commitment volunteering 6 hours a week
**Meeting Times**:
