**What is this issue:**

When images with a showcase role appear in the body of an article, their captions are pushed into the left column on breakpoints where it’s available (leftCol and above). If they appear as the last element in the body of an article, this caption can overlap with content that appears below. For example, the match stats on a match report article, as seen in: [Newcastle open gap over Chelsea in top-five chase after Nicolas Jackson sees red](https://www.theguardian.com/football/2025/may/11/newcastle-chelsea-premier-league-match-report)

This may only be an issue on match reports where these match stats appear, or it may be a more general issue that occurs on other articles too.

Note that this may also occur for images with immersive roles too.
