How to set filterOptions.names with the async call result

Thanks for the lib! My use cases is the following, I'm using server side filtering with pagination and for column A I need to filter with checkboxes. If I leave names they can contain less options, or disappear during filtering so I need to set names from api call, but not sure how to do that. Is this something possible?
