TableSelectCell in customRowRender

I'd like to keep the default TableSelectCell as the first cell in my custom row render, but I don't see any way to access that component in the documentation. Is this possible?

Start by reviewing the documentation for customRowRender and the TableSelectCell component to determine whether the default selection cell is exposed. Document the supported way to retain it, or clearly state the limitation and expected alternative; the issue is done when newcomers can find an unambiguous answer.
