Description
Hi There,
We have an app that uses this library and it works beautifully on almost all devices. There are some Android 11 AOSP devices where it fails to initialize without giving any useful clues. This is the WebView which is built in (and because of how AOSP works, you can't change it). Should it work, ie should we do more investigation, or it's too old to work?

Research direction
The issue names no files, tests, or entry points. Start by reproducing initialization on an Android 11 AOSP device using WebView 83.0 and inspect why no useful clues are emitted. Done means establishing whether this WebView should be supported and recording the compatibility finding or next investigation path.
