While editing user's name the system doesn't allow the operation because the number is already registered with the old name

Describe the bug
i wanted to change the name of the user and i was not able to that because the system used to give an alert on the phone number
i wanted to change the name associated with that phone number but the system didn't allow it

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

Go to 'user displayed profile'
Click on 'profile'
edit name
See error
Expected behavior
the name associated with the preexisting number shall be changed immediately.

Start at the user displayed profile and profile-edit flow described in the reproduction steps, then reproduce the name change in Chrome on Windows. Trace why editing the name triggers an alert for the existing phone number; done means the name associated with that number can be changed without the erroneous rejection.
