alert "phone number already registered needed", page doesn't redirect anywhere else

Describe the bug
upon editing contact details(phone number), the app wasn’t rendering to the next page for verification of number when the same number was given to it.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

Go to Eratega-multivendor>>user displayed profile>>profile>>contact information
Click on 'edit' beside phone no
add the same number
See error (page stops rendering further
Expected behavior
Should have generated an alert saying "phone number already registered wit his account

Version 122.0.6261.95 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Start in the displayed profile's Profile > Contact Information flow and reproduce the issue in Chrome by editing the phone number to the same value. Trace what happens after submission when the number is already registered, especially the verification-page navigation and error handling. Done means the user receives the expected alert and the page no longer stops rendering without navigating or reporting the error.
