Description
We've got a build error whenever the JMH Annotation Processor added in this PR is included https://github.com/graphql-java/graphql-java/pull/4057. This requires a full clean before rebuilding.
But then without it, we cannot run JMH tests in IntelliJ. There's probably some config or tweak we've missed.
This only affects local development

Research direction
Start by reviewing the JMH Annotation Processor changes in pull request 4057 and reproduce the clean-build error with the processor enabled. Compare that behavior with running JMH tests in IntelliJ; done means local builds no longer require a full clean and IntelliJ JMH tests still run.
