plans on project roadmap - can it be used in production despite alpha status?

Thank you for the awesome project!

We're considering using it in our production app, but have some concerns because of:
- little recent commits activity
- many unanswered issues
- especially: many unanswered pull requests - this is a red flag because this way it is easy to kill enthusiasm of any contributor

Can you please cast some light on the project roadmap and your support plans?

How high are chances that some parts of the API can change after passing the alpha phase?
