Description

Roboto Flex with 400 font weight is rendered too thin on Safari.
It is only reproducible when the font weight is exactly 400.

Comparison on the [Google Fonts page](https://fonts.google.com/specimen/Roboto+Flex) (I added font weight 399 and 401 for comparison):

Research direction

Reproduce the rendering difference from the Google Fonts comparison on macOS Ventura 13.0.1 with Safari 16.1, testing weights 399, 400, and 401. Compare the result with the linked Stack Overflow report and identify the project entry point or font data responsible; done means the 400-weight issue is fixed or its limitation is clearly documented.
