Below is a guide to the current masters of Extremo and how those are intended to flow into the product.

The registered axes, grade and the Latin extenders are all unchanged in this process and ready for use.

The parametric axes have been divided into three constituent axes, for uppercase, lowercase, and figures, with most of the rest of the ascii glyphs varying along with one of the three groups. The two reasons for doing this are; that use of parametric axes on glyph groups, by end-users, has been suggested and is here the option is demonstrated.

The main benefit we hope to receive from this trisection is to use different values to adjust the design space and make it safe with use for all the axes, and experience has shown that these adjustments are more controllable, yielding more useful results, on character groups rather than the whole character set.

These trisected axes, once employed to make the design space safe, can then be merged into single parametric axes and used as they have been previously.
