* eszett - 100/400/900 ( and the whole design space really) **Dave, this note is really for you as much as David and Santiago!** The design of this letter seems out of character for the design as a whole. The first issue is that the top is narrow in a way that's atypical and Roboto is a synthesis of typical things. The second issue is that the flat top on the interior terminal is a pain in the butt to manage across a big design space. For example - in the 900 weight it gets too bright because the interior stroke has to be accommodated. A better termination would be vertical like the bottom tip of j. in 400 the terminal as it is uneasily close to the stem. It looks awkward.

* g - the bottom stroke is too dark in 400. It is semi trie in 100 too but is more subtle.

* s - 100/400 - the middle of s is a bit too heavy still

* i j - 900 I would like to to see the dot or tittle on i and j raised especially since this is a small opsz. 100 seems bang on and 400 is not too bad but not as good as 100.

* i l j - 100/400 in 8opsz I'd like to see the spacing on these loosened up. The issue is strongest with 100 wght. 900 seems fine.
