Italic and Bold Italic on the radar?

I like how well this version is hinted, especially the TTF for Windows, and the ligatures, OH BOY OH BOY!!!

But I'm wondering if by any chance this is getting an Italic variant to it? Inconsolata LGC has one, but it can do with some improvements (i.e. that lowercase a looks damn close similar to lowercase o), I believe this is the original LGC repo with both Italic and Bold Italic variants:
