[FR] Configure files to exclude from updates

I have a repository that contains a folder called deps where I store my dependencies. These dependencies were installed to the folder using "pip install".

There's a file with the name version.py in the deps folder which gets updated each time with the new release tags. But, I want to prevent this from happening.

Please, what should I do?
