Disable building a snapshot version when using realease-type Java

I am working in a small company, which does not use snapshots in it's java projects. So the release-please-action with release-type java, which is creating a snapshot PR, inflates our workflow. Is there an option to disable building a snapshot PR when using release-type java? If not, setting a flag in the action to disable it, would be great.
