Tuners suddenly not tuning in new or changed channels

I want to start by saying I have solved this, but am posting because others may have the problem. I live near NYC and the real and virtual channels are changing with moving to the WTC. I have 8 Hauppauge 2250/2255 tuners and 5 stopped tuning in the changed channels. I had only scanned in 3 tuners maybe 5 or six years ago and just had the others use the same lineup. After a full day of thinking I had hardware that died I did a full scan on a tuner I do not usually do a scan on. Magically it now worked on all of the new channels, as I did an update scan on one after another they all began to work. It was a couple of days before I even figured out that some of the tuners were not working on some channels, I thought I had random reception problems, because 3 tuners were working just fine.
