Question: Repository Status/Maintainer

This is a general question about the status of this repository, and who the official maintainer is.

It looks like @timburks left Google earlier this month (5/2024). Is there anyone taking this over, or perhaps a recommended/preferred community fork?

I'm particularly interesting the the `protoc-gen-openapi` component (and have a potential fix to the `go_modules` issue many folks seem to have encountered), but find this concept pretty interesting/compelling in general.
