Google Fonts not working properly on my site

**Describe the issue**
I used Google Fonts to generate code to embed on my website so that I can use 2 fonts. I pasted exactly that into the header of my site. The fonts show up fine on desktop (perhaps because I have the fonts installed on the desktop), but when I visit the website on my phone which doesn't have those fonts, the fonts don't load.

**To Reproduce**
Went to Google Fonts site, clicked Select next to 2 of them, then copied the code in the sidesheet to my site. Upload site, then visit it on mobile - the fonts don't show. Refreshing and clearing cache did not fix the issue. I would prefer not to share the URL if possible.

**Expected behavior**
I want visitors of my website to be able to see text in the right font regardless of device.
