Description
**Describe the issue**
This is a continuation of notofonts/noto-fonts#2215.
Noto Sans and Noto Serif contain glyphs for U+2042 ASTERISM. The fonts in the google/fonts repo contain glyphs for this codepoint in all weights. However, on the GF website, these glyphs are only available in SemiBold and heavier weights. I can understand that the subsetter might be doing something strange with this codepoint, but I can't understand why it only appears in certain weights.
**To Reproduce**
https://fonts.google.com/noto/specimen/Noto+Serif?query=noto+serif&preview.text=⁂&preview.text_type=custom and scroll down to the styles section.
**Expected behavior**
All styles should contain an asterism glyph.
