Assamese Language Support

Hello Everyone! I am from Assam, a north-eastern state of India. The official language of the state is Assamese, which is used by more than 15 million people across the state. It is also one of the 22 scheduled languages of India. Our language (i.e. Assamese)
has its own grammar and a rich beautiful literature. But the problem is that the font of the Assamese Language, is very similar to Bengali (Another scheduled language of India used in the State of West Bengal, India). It has only minor differences in letters like 'ৰ' and 'র'. As a result Google doesn't recognize our Assamese Language , which is very sad.

Now if I try hard and make a font of our Language (i.e. Assamese) which meets all the criteria as mentioned in this doc: https://github.com/google/fonts/blob/master/CONTRIBUTING.md and submit it as a font of Assamese Language, will google include my font as new font under a new Language category titled "Assamese" or "অসমীয়া"? This will help thousands of developers from this region to add local language support to their apps and websites. Thank you.
