Work Sans problem with printing

Hey there!
When printing text in Work Sans my colleges and me noticed some strange irregularities:
distorted letters, destroyed spacing, skipped quotation marks and so on.

It occurred on different printers: laser and ink, from PDF print and out of InDesign.
As we wanted to use the font as a Corporate Font for print as well, this is a really bad thing to happen. :(
Could you please let me know if any of you is familiar with the problem and
if possible have an idea how to solve this?
