Incredibly slow download speed (38kBps) of master Zip file

The download speed is so slow that it eventually fails at about 33% I tried to also use a VPN to exclude geo blocking and ran a speed test to exclude my ISP, also disabled antimalware software (Emsisoft +OSA) but the speed wont improve, peak is 2Mbps and lasts a full 3 seconds then down to 32~38kBps as reported from Firefox. I read that other people had similar issue in the past while downloading from Github and it looks to be a cross-OS issue.
