Conscrypt 1.4.1 threads stuck in NativeCrypto.ENGINE_SSL_do_handshake

Apologies for filing a ticket on an older version, but 1.4.1 is the latest release that works on CentOS 6. Are we aware of issues that would result in threads stuck in `org.conscrypt.NativeCrypto.ENGINE_SSL_do_handshake` which may have been fixed more recent versions?

Conscrypt: 1.4.1
Java: 8u202
OS: CentOS 7 (this machine would support newer Conscrypt builds, however others would not)
Usage: Server side (however the client also used Conscrypt)
TLS version:1.2 (1.3 is not enabled in this version, and we have not opted in)
