AGI becomes too slow with large trace files (450MB for example)

**Bug description**
Loading a 450MB trace takes minutes. Scrolling or zooming then takes minutes more. Each change to the view seems to take minutes. This is on a fast PC with 72 hw threads and 196GB RAM.

**Reproduction steps**
Load a typical Android trace (with both atrace events and ftrace cpusched data) of size 450MB.
