Force send onDroppedFrames when stream changes

Description
Hi,
I will like to know how dropped frame counter (onDroppedFrames API in VideoRendererEventListener) is internally handled. When the media stream changes (like playlist or Ads use case) in the player, does the dropped frames counter gets reset or it will report any unreported drops from previous stream to new stream?
Note, I am using Exoplayer SDK on Android platform.
