Bard is repetitively and wilfully lie

So there is attempt for Bard written
Bard pretend to perform the task
Gives made up result pretending its correct
Only after its faced with facts gives apology that it is under development

Why this behaviour?

Shouldn't be more plausible that it will give straight away information that this task is not yet possible because it is still learning?

And even give prompt on how to help it to learn?
