Experiment's `snapshot_state` not called, missing functionality for Checkpointer

Hi,
I noticed that an Experiment's `snapshot_state ` is not invoked anywhere, which seems to imply that the `InMemoryCheckpointer` is not really checkpointing anything? Am I missing something?
