Description

### Tested versions

- found the issue in Godot Stable 4.6

### System information

Godot v4.6.stable - Windows 10 (build 19045) - Multi-window, 1 monitor - Direct3D 12 (Forward+) - dedicated Intel(R) Iris(R) Xe Graphics (Intel Corporation; 32.0.101.7026) - 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-1160G7 @ 1.20GHz (8 threads) - 15.72 GiB memory

### Issue description

On release of the new Godot version I've started a new project in windows 10, nothing was set or imported in it. I opened the editor settings and set the display size at 100%. It reset but didn't launch again. I then relaunched Godot and it asked to be started in recovery mode. sometimes it crashes directly with no message and sometimes it pops up a window telling me a memory exception has happened and that the program must shut down.

### Steps to reproduce

create new project in godot4.6 and press edit project. It crashes 4 times out of 5 in my experience.

### Minimal reproduction project (MRP)

this is just an empty project that crashes before I can even send it so no MRP possible

Research direction

Start by reproducing the new-project flow in Godot 4.6 on Windows 10 with Direct3D 12, then test the editor settings display-size change and recovery-mode launch described in the report. Compare normal and recovery launches and determine a reliable crash condition; done means new projects open without the reported crashes or memory exception.
