the vscode marketplace says:
Requirements
Godot 3.2.2 or greater. Older versions of Godot are not supported.
but the github says
Requirements
Godot >= 3.2.2 and < 4.0. Older versions of Godot or 4.0 and higher are not supported.
---
perhaps there is a reason for this (sorry if there is, I am new to github), but at the very least it is confusing.
