Issue syncing up Atom to js-koans in browser

I have Atom installed on my PC and I figured out how to open the topics file up in the program. (Github did not present me with the option to open in Atom as it does in the example.) However, I am not getting any sort of response from the browser when I attempt to reload the page once I modify the topics text in Atom. I am sure that I am missing something simple here, been an intense week for me. But it is delaying my ability to work on the project at all. Thoughts?
Side note, where on the west coast are you @hectorsector?
