LGTM.com - false positive: Syntax Error

**Description of the false positive**

Syntax error is reported in `async def send_intro(user_id)` despite this being valid python 3 code. It highlights the space between `def` and `send_intro` as the issue; I suspected that I had used an unusual whitespace character by accident, but it appears to be a normal space character (`U+0020`).
