On macOS, closing the last window (⌘W) should keep the app running in the background (like Slack, Discord, or most native Mac apps). Currently it terminates the process, so reopening requires a full cold start. Ideal behavior: close the window but leave the app active in the Dock/menu bar, with ⌘N or clicking the Dock icon to reopen instantly.
