Its not possible to set the AI model. It shows retry loading models.

GitHub Copilot app 0.2.23 on macOS can authenticate, list repos, and gh api /copilot_internal/user confirms chat_enabled=true, cli_enabled=true, copilot_plan=business, is_mcp_enabled=true.
But the app repeatedly fails list_models/get_account_quota/list_global_skills with "request cancelled".
Bundled gh works manually and shares valid auth.
Likely app-side request cancellation/state bug.
