Research direction

Start by reproducing the issue in the /chat path on Windows 10.0.26200 with app version 1.1.21, comparing Auto with a specifically selected model; no source file or test is named. Done means Auto consistently follows the user's instruction instead of stopping, with the behavior verified against the comparison case.
