Multi-repository project no longer allows selecting a branch for each repository

Description
Before the new session creation experience, creating a chat for a project containing multiple repositories presented a separate branch selector for each repository. In the updated interface, that screen is no longer shown, and it is unclear which source branch is used for each repository. This is especially disruptive for repos where the default branch is not main. Also, the new branch selector no longer seems to work at all.
Please clarify whether this was intentional and how the source branch for each repository is now determined. If branch selection was removed unintentionally, please restore the per-repository branch selectors.
