Steam is an example of how I'd prefer it to work, double clicking opens the window (or brings it to the foreground it it's currently open, but benhind other windows). Single clicking opens a context menu with quick launch options.

To be honest, I don't find the context menu useful. Perhaps I don't have as many repos and chat sessions open as other people do, but I don't find it compelling to find or interact with my chat sessions there. I just want to re-open the window since I closed it, so I can then find my sessions in the normal UI window.
