Description

**Mood:** 😔
**Category:** General

Whenever copilot edits a file, I can see the changes easily but can't figure it out how to manually edit the file to make a small tweak without clicking the VSCode button and going to a different app. I'd like to be able to make a small change myself without having to highlight the text and prompt copilot to do it and waste time and tokens. IF I can edit it, I haven't seen the ability to yet.

Research direction

Start in the /chat experience and inspect the existing VSCode button flow to understand how edited files are presented. The change is done when a user can make a small manual edit from the app without opening VSCode or prompting Copilot; the issue does not name implementation files or tests.
